Paraphrasing plagiarism

This type of plagiarism is the most common one, and it happens when you rephrase a part of the text in your own words. Though paraphrasing content itself may not be marked as plagiarism if you focus on citing its sources along with your content. On the other hand, if you simply use the key points from someone else’s work, then it can be treated as plagiarism.

Mosaic plagiarism

Some of you think that if you simply copy-paste the content from different sources or texts, then it is not marked as plagiarized. Unless you cite sources of that content in your paper, you are still considered to be plagiarizing the work in your paper. So, students must avoid the practice of mosaic plagiarism.

Verbatim plagiarism

This kind of plagiarism occurs when you copy some content directly from a source and paste it in your own document. Without properly citing the information, the content gets copied in your paper, which is marked under the category of verbatim plagiarism. Even if you delete or change some words from that content, it still appears to be plagiarized in the eyes of evaluators.

Global plagiarism

When you use someone else’s work for your own writing, then it is considered as global plagiarism. Since you didn’t write the words for your content, it falls under the category of plagiarism. Even if you get your assignments done from friends or relatives, all those instances fall under the plagiarized work category.
