At university or school level, students must be
provided with different types of assignment to score well in academics. There
is a long list to these types of assignment, but here we have provided some of
the most common one, offered to students at university level.
What each type of assignment entails?
Essay: They are written on a particular topic,
subject or issue. Most of the essays are either employed in the academic
community or are used by peers. The essay usually starts with an introduction,
then body part and ends with a conclusion. The major part of an essay relies in
its body part, as this includes an explanation to main points.
Reviews: This is simply a critical evaluation of
anything like a project, publication or literature, which is made using
research methods. The main purpose of a review is to focus on the things being
achieved. This type of writing looks more like a summary and is used by peers. There
is no new addition made in a review and it only includes the discussion about
topic.
Case study: This type of assignment focuses on
problem-solving aspect, and provides an in-depth investigation about the topic.
The case study is used to follow a proper format that goes through many phases.
It is said to identify a problem and find different solutions to it.
Case
studies are basically employed in the form of debates and discussions at
colleges.
Journals: Page by page journal is used by a person
to understand the topic and what they have learned so far. No strict-pattern is
employed because it was for self-use.
Bibliography: Its main purpose is to provide a
useful list of resources. Different articles on a particular topic or resources
are listed down under this category. This comes out to be useful of
professionals, researchers and academicians. Bibliography always follows a
patterns of alphabetical order and a summary of topic.
